Packaging 

What you package your tea in is just as important as the tea itself.

Tea must be stored correctly otherwise it will go bad more quickly. When tea goes bad it loses its color, smell and taste.  Fresh tea looks nice, smells nice and tastes amazing. We don't ever cut corners on something so important as packaging. For this reason, our preference of packaging is a zip-top stand-up pouch made exclusively for tea. This bag is; foil lined so that no light gets in, comes with a resealable zipper to keep tea fresher longer, and is heat sealed for maximum freshness when the package arrives.

We offer the following stand-up pouch options:

  • Biodegradable Stand Up Pouch (Kraft)

  • Biodegradable Stand Up Pouch (Matte Black)

  • Glossy Stand Up Barrier Pouch


Matte White Stand Up Pouch:

These bags are made with a resealable zipper, 5-layer high barrier poly structure and a tear notch for easy opening. Thick barrier material protects items from moisture, gas and odor. Heat sealable above tear notches. FDA and USDA compliant. This bag is also available in matte black finish.

We carry 'Matte White' in stock. Black is based on availability.

Biodegradable Stand Up Pouch – Kraft:

100% Biodegradable & Compostable packaging! That means you will be helping the environment by creating less waste!

This bag is made of 3 layers: Paper, Metalized PLA, & PLA. The Metalized PLA layer will provide a high-barrier protection from oxygen and moisture. This bag includes a zipper that is also 100% Biodegradable & Compostable!

Biodegradable Stand Up Pouch - Matte Black:

100% Biodegradable & Compostable packaging! That means you will be helping the environment by creating less waste!

This bag is made of 3 layers: Paper, Metalized PLA, & PLA. The Metalized PLA layer will provide a high-barrier protection from oxygen and moisture. This bag includes a zipper that is also 100% Biodegradable & Compostable!

Glossy Stand Up Barrier Pouch:

These bags are made with a resealable zipper, 5-layer high barrier poly structure and a tear notch for easy opening. Thick barrier material protects items from moisture, gas and odor. Heat sealable above tear notches. FDA and USDA compliant. This bag is also available in glossy black, white, gold and silver variants. We do not carry these bags in stock. We will need to confirm the availability of the bags for color and size based on the order.

The bags are selected based on the volume of loose tea and/or the number of tea bags that go in them. All the above bags are available in 4/8/16/32 oz size options. Overall Dimensions of the Bag [Length x Width x Gusset] could be 5 x 8 x 2 1/2", 6 x 9 x 3", 7 x 11 1/2 x 4", and 9 x 13 1/2 x 4 3/4" (all dimension in inches).

Based on the size of the bag for your product, an appropriate label would be needed. We will recommend the apt label size based on the size of the bag.

Labels versus printing directly on bags:

Printing custom branding on the bags or packages is an excellent marketing strategy because consumers are more likely to buy from a recognizable brand and also help them in making presence on the shelf as well. Research shows that it takes an average of seven seconds of a consumer to decide if they want to buy a product. On top of that, one-third of a consumer purchase is based on packaging alone. Printing directly on bags looks great and will definitely create a nice visual impact. However, one of the biggest challenges with this option is that it requires a high minimum order quantity.
